If you’re a mineral collector, you have probably purchased mineral specimens because they were rare, because they were beautiful, or because of the locality they were from. But have you ever bought a specimen because of where you bought it?
I bought this piece at a street fair in rural Drenthe, a province of The Netherlands north and west of Amsterdam, from a vendor who spoke no English. This is unusual in The Netherlands – most everyone there speaks English as well as I do.
